Our licensed nursing staff directs the medical care
of each child twenty four hours a day.
Nursing Services
The certified staff is responsible for the daily physical care -- bathing, dressing
and feeding -- of their children. Their affectionate care and attention in fulfilling
these responsibilities further the effectiveness of all our programs.
- Our nurses are trained to care for the special needs,
such as individuals with Profound Mentally Challenged, Multiple Disabilities, Seizure Disorder and Mild
Self Injurious Behavior.
- The Medical Director, since 1981, Dr. Piyush Shah and his associate alternate visiting weekly.

- Featuring five Hydromassage tubs used in routine
resident care, state of the art lifting equipment that allows your child to be moved
in a comfortable manner.
- We specialize in Head Trauma, Colostomy/Urostomy
Care, Tracheotomy Care and Oxygen Therapy.
- Huntington Memorial Hospital serves our residents
with a Specialized Pediatric Wing. Located less than 20 minutes from Vernon Manor.
- Annual State Survey reports are available upon request.
- Dentists, Dr. Phil and Matt Pate and Dr. Long visits every six
months to clean & Fluoride everyone's teeth.
- Opthamologist, Dr. Lindsay Barnett visits the facility and performs
eye exams yearly to those under 18 and every two years to those over 18.
