Linda Smith has worked for Vernon Manor Children's Home since 1986. Her job duties have included cooking, dishwashing, stock, and preparing formula for those residents who are fed by gastric-tube. As assistant to Teresa Hite, Dietary Manager, she also is in charge of the kitchen in Teresa's absence.
Linda was born in Paintsville, Kentucky and earned her certificate in dietary management in 1991 through the University of North Dakota. June of 2003, Linda furthered her education by taking a course in ServSafe and received her certification.
Linda is married to James Smith and they have two children and numerous grandchildren. They attend Christian Heritage Church of Wabash.
Linda comments, "I enjoy reading and gardening and I really like my job and the people I work with as well as the wonderful residents."
