A home dedicated to bringing the fullness of life to very special children through very special care since 1968.

Each year, Vernon Manor Children's Home hosts two large events that are open to our community and the general public. Though visitors are welcome anytime, these are special dates reserved for our residents and staff to share with the community.

All year round, Vernon Manor collects pop tabs to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. Staff, parents and various members of the community collect pop tabs and bring them to Vernon Manor. Vernon Manor Children's Home is a drop-off site for collected pop-tabs. To date, we have collected over one million pop tabs to help the Ronald McDonald House. On Valentine's Day each year, Ronald McDonald makes a special visit to Vernon Manor to pick up all the collected pop tabs and presents his one-of-a-kind magic show to those who attend the event. We welcome the public into our home for this event. Stop by anytime to pick up a special Ronald McDonald house and start gathering your pop tabs. When your house is full bring it back to Vernon Manor. You can collect with us all year. And be sure to stop by to see Ronald McDonald when he arrives.

Since 1990, Vernon Manor Children's Home has hosted an annual fundraising event, our Annual Open House/Car Show. The day before Mother's Day each year, we open our home to the community. Car collectors and enthusiasts alike fill our back lawn with an array of vintage, classic and customized cars and trucks. Our community provides local celebrity judges and several of our residents also participate as judges-they take their choices very seriously. Various entertainers donate their time and talents and are on-site throughout the day as well. Inside, staff members offer tours of the facility and host a silent auction. With the tremendous support of our community, this event is more successful every year. We welcome you to come enjoy a day with us.

Vernon Manor also hosts games each year at the Annual Dave Kunkle Cruise-in. Proceeds from this event are split equally between the MDA Foundation and Vernon Manor Children's Home. This event takes place in August each year. Stop by and play games with us while you're there.
